PM, Rahul Gandhi to hold rallies in Delhi today ahead of phase 5 polls

As campaigning heats up for the fifth phase of the Lok Sabha polls, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi are scheduled to address election rallies in Delhi today. The Prime Minister will attend a public event in the evening in North East Delhi, where the BJP has fielded Manoj Tiwari against Congress’s Kanhaiya Kumar. On the other hand, Rahul Gandhi will hold a rally in the national capital's Ramlila Maidan. The Delhi Traffic Police has issued traffic advisories for the affected areas, where special arrangement will come into force in the afternoon. The high-stakes campaigning comes as the nation is bracing for the fifth phase of the general elections on May 20, when 695 candidates from eight states and Union Territories will contest in 49 seats.
