As questions swirl surrounding the state of his marriage, Ben Affleck is now being criticized for his appearance at Tom Brady’s roast special earlier this month.

Comedian Nikki Glaser, who made fun of Brady’s divorce from supermodel Gisele Bundchen and his relationship with Blue Bloods actress Bridget Moynahan, has been making the rounds to discuss her appearance on Netflix’s The Roast of Tom Brady.

After the former NFL great revealed that he regretted participating in the program, Glaser said that he must have known the kinds of jokes he was going to be subjected to.

“I feel maybe he didn’t consider the backlash from his family and how it would affect them, and I do understand that,” Glaser, 39, said last week during an appearance on Today with Hoda and Jenna.

But the stand-up star added, “Tom Brady does not do anything without doing his research and knowing exactly what he’s getting into. I think it’s kind of a thing you say after the fact, but it’s impossible to me that he didn’t consider what could’ve happened.”

Now Glaser is sharpening her knives as she goes after Brady’s pal Affleck, whose appearance was branded a flop during the broadcast.

“I haven’t watched it again, because I don’t like to watch people bomb,” Glaser said of Affleck’s roast performance on the latest episode of Barstool Sports’ podcast KFC Radio.

“I know what happened: he didn’t prepare. He’s someone who’s famous enough he probably thinks it’s beneath him to do this. ‘I’m just gonna do a favour, it’s not gonna be that big of a deal.’”

During the roast, Affleck, who is a longtime fan of Brady’s former team the New England Patriots, drew minimal laughs from his brief set. Seeming to anticipate the harsh reaction he was about to receive online, the Gone Girl star fired back at critics telling the crowd: “I don’t think I’ll ever get this chance again. I’m probably never going to work again, actually, after tonight…You guys out there talking s— all right, behind your f—ing keyboard, that doesn’t make you a fan. That makes you a bitch.”

Glaser said that Affleck “picked a bad premise.”

“Either they couldn’t get him on the phone enough to work out something, or he didn’t practice enough,” she continued. “He just picked a bad premise and then he had to stick to it the whole time. It didn’t work right away, so it’s not gonna work later.”

Comedian Dane Cook also panned Affleck’s rant saying “it didn’t work and he was tied into it for four or five minutes.”

“Forty seconds in, it was clear that it just wasn’t the right choice,” Cook said. “What would most comedians do if they were there is they would probably about 30 seconds in realize it’s not gonna work and either stick with this for found more minutes … or just kinda go to my closer.”

Last week, Brady said he “liked when the jokes were about me,” but didn’t enjoy when they touched on his personal life.

“I thought they were so fun. I didn’t like the way they affected my kids,” Brady, 46, admitted during an appearance on The Pivot Podcast. “It’s the hardest part about…like the bittersweet aspect of when you do something that you think is one way and then all of a sudden you realize I wouldn’t do that again because of the way that it affected actually the people that I care about the most in the world.”

During the special, Glaser — who mocked Brady for breaking up with then-pregnant girlfriend Moynahan back in December 2006 — relentlessly teased the former quarterback about his failed marriage to Bundchen.

“Five-time Super Bowl MVP, most career wins, most career touchdowns. You have seven rings. Well, eight, now that Gisele gave hers back,” Glaser said, referencing his seven Super Bowl titles.

“But sorry, Tom, the only thing dumber than you saying yes to this roast was when you said, ‘Hey, babe, you should try jiu-jitsu.’ That’s gotta suck,” Glaser added, making a NSFW quip about how Brady must struggle knowing that “your ex wife’s new boyfriend can beat your ass” while performing a sex act.
