BOALSBURG -- First responders are on scene of a ski lift accident at Tussey Mountain ski resort in Centre County.
A 6 News reporter on scene said crews are currently rescuing several people who are stuck on a malfunctioning ski lift at the resort.
A witness said she watched as the lift malfunctioned and several chairs crashed into each other.
Police said five people suffered minor injuries in the incident just after 10 a.m.
They said between 50 and 100 people were left stranded after the chairlift malfunctioned.
The ski resort took to social media Saturday morning to say, "Having difficulties with the chairlift.. we are working on it now. May not be able to run it today. Stay tuned... #sorry "
