On May 7, Grand Rapids-based influencer and recipe developer Yumna Jawad will celebrate the release of her first book, “Feel Good Foodie Cookbook.”

“Feel Good Foodie” has 125 recipes that aim to be simple and healthy. Once the book is released Tuesday, Jawad will embark on a short book tour of Williams-Sonoma stores, including the Somerset location at 6 p.m. May 9.

“This book is meant to make you feel good — whether that’s because you’re cooking and eating homemade food, you’re finally feeling confident in your kitchen, or you’re making dishes that you and your people love,” said Jawad in a press release announcing the title. “Each recipe has something special thanks to my favorite eight Mediterranean Staples. These ingredients are heroes in my kitchen because they have the power to give ordinary recipes a unique and pleasantly surprising spin that tastes so good!”
